The Citizens Foundation recently welcomed renowned actor Ayesha Omar as its Goodwill Ambassador. As an ambassador, Ayesha will be working alongside the TCF team to promote the cause of education for the less privileged children of Pakistan. She will be creating awareness regarding the education crisis and help TCF raise support to bring more children from street to school.
A strong believer in the cause of education, Ayesha said, “When you donate for quality education, you invest for a lifetime. Education equips children with the skills and power to transform their lives, it helps combat poverty on a large scale, and it builds a nation.”
Raised by a single parent, Ayesha recalls how circumstances for her family were very tough while growing up. She and her brother made it through their education with the help of merit and financial scholarships until she started working and could earn enough to start supporting her family and her brother’s education.
Commenting on joining the TCF movement she said, “What startles me most about TCF is that it has an equal enrolment ratio for girls and boy – giving quality education and equal opportunities to young men and women to build a better future for themselves. I am very excited to join hands with TCF for the journey ahead!”
